Position Descriptions
In the last few years German Club has found it beneficial for its officers to work as a team, so even though the president is ultimately in charge the group plans all events/activities together with some events being taken charge of by the different officers. The constitution is outdated, and not all of the officer positions are accurate. However, the official document is here (pdf format).
President: Keep communication with all officers and faculty, organize officer meetings and member meetings, reserve rooms, collect respond to campus and email (with assistance of officers).
Vice President: Assist with the duties of the the President, esp. organizing member meetings and responding to club email, take charge in the President's absence.
Secretary: Assist with duties of the President, esp. organizing member meetings and responding to club email, send out email reminders/information (with assistance of other officers).
Treasurer: Keep track of club financial situation, deal with turning in receipts, be in charge of any money collected by the club.
Publicity: Keep members informed about meetings, send out email reminders for regular meetings and other activities as well as flyers for special events.
Webmaster: Keep the website up-to-date by adding new photos and changing information as needed.
